Stacey Hayes, NCCU Clinical Mental Health Counseling Candidate, recently received the American Counseling Association (ACA) Foundation 2010 Graduate Student Annual Conference Scholarship Award. This award covered the registration fee for this year's annual conference in Pittsburgh.
To be eligible for the award, applicants needed to be counseling graduate students who were both ACA members and first-time conference attendees. The application process included writing an essay. At the conference, the ACA Foundation hosted a small reception for recipients, which was also attended by ACA President Lynn Linde and ACA Past-president (and noted author) Dr. Samuel Gladding. Stacey is the second NCCU Counseling student in as many months to receive a national award. Last month, Kinea Epps received an American School Counseling Association (ASCA) award.
Please join us in congratulating Stacey!
