COUNSELOR EDUCATION PROGRAM -- North Carolina Central University

The Department of Counseling at Indiana University of Pennsylvania (IUP) would like to announce our new Ph.D. program in Counselor Education and Supervision. Students enrolled in this doctoral program will be prepared to enter the professoriate in Counselor Education with training in research, scholarship, and service.

This 48 credit program meets the 2016 CACREP standards and builds on the 60 credit CACREP master’s degree in School Counseling or Clinical Mental Health Counseling. As you are aware, the demand for counselors, and the professors who educate them, continues to grow. The U.S. Department of Labor predicts that employment for mental health counselors will increase 20 percent by 2024. The doctoral program at IUP is designed to meet this growing demand for Counselor Educators.

IUP is now accepting applications for the fall 2017 cohort in Indiana, PA.  The deadline to apply is January 10, 2017. We would welcome referrals from your current students and alumni.
