Want to take the Comprehensive Exam ("Comps") this Spring or Summer?
Are you taking practicum in the spring or summer of 2025 and have not completed the CPCE (Counselor Preparation Comprehensive Exam)? A passing score on the CPCE (commonly called comps) is required for graduation. The spring CPCE testing window is March 10-21, 2025.
Go to NCCUcounseling.com>students>Comprehensive Exam>CPCE registration interest and all the information you need is provided. Use this Google survey to begin the process. Why complete the survey? This allows Dr. Barrow to endorse you for testing on campus, close to home or even at home and to send you customized directions for testing after you are endorsed. Please use the link below for more information, including a link to the Google survey. Deadline is February 20, 2025.

Chi Sigma Iota, Counseling Honor Society
Dear Students,
Our Chi Sigma Iota (CSI) membership team has been active, excited, and engaged. We are excited about the increased interest in joining CSI. Starting in January, Chi Sigma Iota members will visit classrooms. These visits will provide an opportunity to learn more about CSI, including how membership can enhance your academic and professional journey through networking, leadership opportunities, and resources to support your growth as a counselor.
In the meantime, if you have completed at least nine credit hours in the program while maintaining a GPA of at least 3.5, and are interested in being a member of our Chi Sigma Iota’s counseling honor society chapter (Chapter Nu Chi Chi), please email the following people and attach a letter that includes (a) your current GPA, (b) the number of hours you will have completed in the program, and (c) a brief statement explaining why you'd like to become a member of Nu Chi Chi. If this is your first year, feel free to email your interest as we will be taking applications of interest into January and February. The official induction of new members will be April - exact date to be determined.
