Dr. Malaika Edwards is an Assistant Professor in the Counselor Education Program at North Carolina Central University and the Clinic Director for the Eagle Counseling, Consultation, and Research Clinic (ECCRC). She earned her Ph.D. in Counseling and Counselor Education from North Carolina State University and her Master of Science degree from Northeastern University in Boston, MA.

Dr. Edwards began her time with NCCU as the Clinic Director for ECCRC and served as an adjunct faculty member. Before joining NCCU, she was a Doctoral Student Center Coordinator for Community Counseling, Education, and Research Center and the Outpatient Therapy Director for V.O.I.C.E.
