NCCU (Dr. Blount) hosts the N.C. School Counselor Association Summer Academy
Kudos to Dr. Taheera Blount for hosting the North Carolina School Counselor Association 2024 Summer Academy at NCCU on Wednesday, June 19th!
From the NCCU School of Education, Dr. Jeffrey Warren (associate dean) spoke on college and career readiness. Dr. Megan Lyons (Curriculum & Instruction) spoke on Social Emotional Learning for school counselors, and Dr. Blount, with nccuCounseling student D'Andrea Cooper, spoke on self-care strategies for school counselors. Summer School
If you are taking any classes this summer, it is recommended that you review the textbook list. Go ahead and attempt to get your textbooks BEFORE your class begins. Summer classes move very quickly, and you do not want for class to start and not have your book(s).

Fall 2024 Memorandum of Agreements (MOAs) due on Friday, July 12, 2024

Upcoming Dates to Remember for nccuCounseling:
- June 21-24: Final exams, summer 1
- June 24: Last day of classes, summer 1
- June 26: Final grades for summer 1 due in Banner by 5pm
- June 27: Summer session 2 begins
- July 3: Drop/Add ends for summer 2; last day to withdraw from the university with a tuition adjustment and/or refund
- July 4: Fourth of July observance, no classes
- July 11: Last day for graduate students to withdraw from a summer 2 class with a WC grade
- July 12: MOA deadline for fall placements
