Then why not consider becoming a member of Nu Chi Chi, NCCU's Chapter of Chi Sigma Iota (CSI)? CSI is the International Honors Society that promotes excellence in counseling. If you have completed at least nine credit hours while maintaining a GPA of at least 3.5 – you can follow the process below to join our Chapter:

Email Dr. Lupton-Smith (This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.) and Dr. Gavin Williams (This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.) by 5pm on January 24. Please attach a letter that includes (a) your current GPA, (b) the number of hours you have completed in the program (excluding hours currently enrolled), and (c) a brief statement explaining why you'd like to become a member of Nu Chi Chi.

You will receive an email from Dr. Lupton-Smith or Dr. Gavin Williams by Friday, March 1st, indicating whether you have been accepted. This letter will outline the additional steps needed to secure your membership – including filling out a brief membership form for CSI, including National dues ($50/year) and chapter dues ($15/year). Both national and chapter dues are required for membership.

New inductees will receive additional information and an invitation to Nu Chi Chi's Induction Ceremony from Kevin Eason, Nu Chi Chi President, by mid-March. The induction ceremony will take place in April.
