Dear Students,
As of Summer 2022, students will no longer purchase a blanket policy of Student Professional Liability Insurance through the University while in practicum and internship. CACREP requires that students have their own individual Professional Liability Insurance.
As a program, we are requiring that students purchase Student Professional Liability Insurance from one of several counseling organizations. Your liability insurance coverage will come with membership. You can join one of these organizations as a Student Member in order to receive the student discount price. Once you join, allow a few days before you are able to retrieve your Student Professional Liability Certificate of Insurance (COI). Please keep in mind that your membership is only granted for 1 year.
When submitting your MOA, please make sure to provide a PDF copy of your Student Professional Liability Certificate. You will need to make sure that your name and physical address are fully completed on the Student Professional Liability Insurance Certificate.
