NCDA Career Developments
Good Afternoon Dr. Moody,
I hope this note finds you well. By way of introduction, my name is Jenn Long and I am the current Editor of the National Career Development Association’s (NCDA) quarterly print magazine, Career Developments. As an affiliate of a CACREP Accredited program emphasizing career counseling, I wanted to reach-out to introduce, or re-introduce, you to a quarterly opportunity for your graduate students to publish.
Career Developments Magazine is committed to the academic and professional development of graduate students, honoring their extensive knowledge, resources and ideas by dedicating an article each issue to be written by a current career counseling graduate student. We would love the opportunity to partner with North Carolina Central University students!
Career Developments is one of the many benefits that we provide to our members, with a circulation of over 5,000. This NCDA member exclusive print magazine is a themed publication offering articles that balance a broad vision with practical application. Each issue offers a focused article on a select theme, a feature article on a prominent NCDA event or theme, specific content for five departments, and six regular columns.
As a Career Developments Department Editor, my colleague Mary Buzzetta ( This email address is being protected from spambots. In advance of a packet that you will be receiving with past issue samples of the magazine to share with your students, I ask that you share this exciting opportunity with your current students and encourage them to contact Mary about submitting an article for one of our upcoming issues.
Additionally, more information about Career Developments Magazine and the publication schedule can be found at http://ncda.org/aws/NCDA/pt/sp/membership_magazine.
Thank you for your time and consideration of promoting Career Developments as an opportunity for your graduate students.
We look forward to working with and publishing your students in the near future!
Kind Regards,
Jenn Long, Editor
