Hello everyone,

My name is Kaila Butler, and I’m a graduate student in the Clinical Psychology program. I’m currently conducting my thesis research, and I’d love your participation!

My study is focused on Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) and how they may relate to adult depression, anxiety, and self-esteem among HBCU students. This research is important because it highlights the unique experiences of students at Historically Black Colleges and Universities voices that are often underrepresented in psychological research. By participating, you’ll be helping to shed light on how early life experiences can affect our mental health and sense of self in adulthood, and how we can better support students in higher education.

Why this matters:

The survey is anonymous, takes about 10–15 minutes, and your responses will be used only for academic research.

Thank you so much for considering this! Your voice truly matters in helping us better understand and address mental health at HBCUs.
