The North Carolina Counseling Association (NCCA) encourages its members to become actively involved in leadership positions within the organization. The NCCA Emerging Leaders Program is designed to provide graduate counseling students and new professionals with cultivating experiences that support leadership skill and competency development, and diverse opportunities to actively participate in NCCA Executive Board meetings, divisions, and/or committees.

NCCA Emerging Leaders will:

• • • Provide a minimum of 30 hours of service to NCCA during the fiscal year, with a minimum of 3 hours at the NCCA Annual Conference. This allows other members to get to know you.
    • Receive complimentary registration to the NCCA Annual Conference.
    • Be featured at the NCCA Annual Conference business meeting.
    • In addition to committee or division work, ELs are invited to the scheduled
    • NCCA Executive Board meetings, which usually last 1 hour.
    • Receive mentorship from a NCCA leader.
    • Be recognized as on NCCA’s website.
    • Be featured in the NCCA newsletter, Carolina Counselor.
    • Have the opportunity to bolster and expand resume content throughout the leadership experiences.
